When we created NYMÅNE pendant lamp, we opened our treasure chest and found KLANG lamp from the 1960s. We added a built-in LED and let our designer give it a modern expression that fits the series well.

Form/Design process
Recycled design
Sometimes it's not silly to look to the past. When we set out designing our new NYMÅNE pendant lamp, the goal was for it to have a modern yet timeless expression and a built-in LED which is glare-free. When we opened the lid of our old treasure chest of lamps, the choice fell on a pendant lamp from our range in the late 1960s. The lamp was called KLANG, and it had all the properties we wanted – and our designer gave it a shape that fits perfectly in the NYMÅNE lamp family.
