Product story summary
From vintage sitting to modern life
STRANDMON is inspired by an old IKEA wing chair from the early 50's. Back then, most people used chairs just to sit in, perhaps while having civil conversations. Nowadays, we curl up in our chairs, drape our legs over armrests and eat where we sit. We put higher demands on our furniture. That’s why we have tested STRANDMON to make sure it can take a person that sits and gets up at least 50,000 times. That’s the same as sitting and getting up once a day, for 136 years.
