“The Latin American culture has definitely influenced my development as a designer, so when IKEA asked me to tell my own story in the form of products for the ÖMSESIDIG collection, I wanted to create something synonymous with my country. Cueca is a typical dance during the week-long national day celebrations in Chile. The steps, movements and rhythm create geometric shapes that inspired me and reflect who I am – a proud Latino in constant motion, searching for the unknown.”
