What is solid wood?
Solid wood is one of our favourite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood.
Product story summary
A cosy nook for play and sleep
How can a children’s bed be something more than a safe place to sleep? Can it even inspire play? This is what designers Tina Christensen and Kai Legaard were thinking when they started sketching KURA reversible bed more than 15 years ago. Since then, we've developed various tents that have transformed the bed frame into a house, a tree house and a radiant starry sky. It’s resulted in children around the world using KURA as their own nook to play and sleep in.
