Contest Terms and Conditions

  1. The company with the registered name "H.M. HOUSEMARKET ," and the trade name “IKEA”, with registered offices in 5, Esperidon str, 4th floor, 2001 Nicosia, (hereinafter referred to as "the Organizer" or "HOUSEMARKET"), in collaboration with the advertising company under the trade name "Gnomi Ltd." (hereinafter "the Agency"), headquartered at 16, Pantelis Katelaris str. at Diagoras Building, 4th floor, 1097 Nicosia, jointly referred to as "the Companies," organize a promotional activity (hereinafter the "Contest"), which will take place at IKEA Nicosia store from Saturday, March 9th (hereinafter the "Start of the Contest") until Sunday, March 10th (hereinafter the "End of the Contest").
  2. The right to participate in the contest is granted to store visitors who attend, correctly answer 2 questions, and enter the requested information in the participation form. Participants will enter a draw for 5 IKEA gift cards worth €50 each, which will be conducted electronically.
  3. Employees of the Organizer and the Agency, as well as their associates, and anyone involved in managing this promotional activity, along with their first and second-degree relatives and spouses, as well as individuals lacking legal capacity, are excluded.
  4. The contest is conducted through an electronic draw by the Organizer, and participation is achieved by entering details in the corresponding participation form on the IKEA Cyprus website and accepting the relevant terms.
  5. The duration of the Contest is defined from Saturday, March 9th, 2024, to Sunday, March 10th, 2024. Any participation outside these limits is considered invalid and not taken into account for winner selection. The draw will identify 5 winners, each receiving an IKEA gift card worth €50. HOUSEMARKET will provide the gift cards to the winners. The draw will be conducted electronically on March 13th, 2024, ensuring randomness and the inability of human intervention in the winner selection process. Winners will be notified by phone by March 21st, 2024, and the gift cards will be sent electronically via email. In case a winner does not wish to receive the prize, they should inform the Organizer, and the prize will pass to the first alternate winner, following the same procedure, and so on.
  6. Participants have the right to participate only once in the Contest and with one phone number. Specifically, for participation in the Contest, the participant must provide their full name, contact phone number, and email address in the participation declaration. It is clarified that one participation declaration can correspond to one phone number. By participating in the contest, the participant declares acceptance of the participation terms.
  7. Upon completion of the above process, the submission of participation in the Contest is completed, which is the sole responsibility of the Participants.
  8. The Organizer reserves the right to either cancel the unawarded prize or dispose of it through any process at its absolute discretion. The gifts are personal and cannot be exchanged, nor can their replacement with others or their redemption for cash be requested. The organizer reserves the right to modify the gifts, as well as the number of gifts, at its absolute discretion, and to change the terms and participation dates or even cancel the competition.
  9. Participants do not have, nor acquire, any rights to the trademarks, names, signs, emblems, and other distinctive features of the Organizer's company.
  10. Participation in the competition requires the unconditional acceptance of the participation terms and implies the subsequent waiver of any claim against the Organizer's company.
  11. Each participant is informed, by participating in the competition, that their personal data may be used by HOUSEMARKET, as the entity responsible for their processing, through automated or non-automated means, for the purpose for which they are collected, namely the conduct of the competition and the announcement of the winners. This data may include (depending on the content of the participant's submission) name, participant's surname, and email address. Third-party companies providing advertising services to HOUSEMARKET may also have access to this data. The participant's data will be retained for one (1) month after the competition ends, while the data of winners and participants will be retained for three (3) months and then deleted. The Organizer will not transfer the data to third parties (except those mentioned above) or to third countries (outside the EU and EEA). The Organizer will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data from unauthorized access and processing. By submitting the participation form, the user accepts the terms and consents to the processing of their personal data.

    For winners and participants in the competition, HOUSEMARKET declares, and each participant accepts, that HOUSEMARKET and/or the Processor will process any personal data they collect from the participants for the purpose of implementing  the gift provision.
  12. In any case, the personal data of the participants will be treated in accordance with the applicable legal framework, and each participant has, regarding their personal data processed by HOUSEMARKET or any other person, all their legal rights throughout the processing. This includes the right to submit a written request to HOUSEMARKET for (i) access to their personal data, (ii) correction of their personal data, (iii) partial or complete deletion of their personal data under certain conditions, (iv) restriction, objection/opposition to the processing of their personal data, (v) portability of their personal data, (vi) withdrawal of their consent to the processing of personal data where given. The exercise of any of these rights after participation may result in the cancellation of participation (e.g., the right to restrict processing or withdraw consent).   14. Any dispute arising from the competition is resolved by the competent courts of Cyprus.
