Product story summary
New life for rediscovered classic
The wooden spindle-back chair is a classic in our range and an important part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is neutral, timeless, and fits many interior design styles and eras. HÖGVED chair is a development of a 50-year-old IKEA chair that we found at an auction. With modern production techniques and packaging solutions, and improved knowledge of ergonomics, it became a stable, comfortable spindle-back chair for our time. The original has taken its place in our archives.
